Noah Lane - Citrus Springs, FL

Yes, we have a street called "Noah Lane" in our neighboorhood...and NO we did not name our son after a street!

The story of the name "Noah Lane":

Ryans Step Father Nathan Leroy Miller, "Roy" passed away in October of 2006.  He was someone that Ryan and I both cared for a lot...and what a great way for Noah to always remember his "Pa" that he never met (but wish he could've)! So, we decided to name our son with the same initials as Roy...NLM.  We knew right away that "Lane" would be his middle name as I've always loved my Best Friend Lynzie's middle name...Lynzie Lane.  Now, the difficult part was the first name.  Trying to find a name that started with an N.  One day Ryan and I were having a phone conversation while we were both at work and tossed around the name Noah Lane.  About an hour after our phone conversation...I got a call back from Ryan...While he was on his way home from work driving through our neighboorhood (a different way that he had never been before) he stumbled across "NOAH LANE!"  It was a sign LITERALLY!  So, we had already picked the name...We just thought...WOW, this is a sign that this should really be his name...Confirmation that Noah Lane should be Noah Lane.

Noah's first time visiting Noah Lane...

"Thats my Name!!!"

Picking Blackberries on Noah Lane...

Can't pick them fast enough...Noah kept eating them!

Fathers Day Weekend and "Whats that noises Mommy?"

Fathers Day extravaganza weekend started on Saturday.  We took Noah to his first Tampa Bay Rays Baseball game...Rays VS. Marlins (Rays Won!!).  I don't know what Noah was more excited about...the actual baseball game...Or the peanuts and cracker jacks...Or maybe it was just getting to spend time with Daddy!  Let me back up a little bit to Friday night...as I rocked my baby boy to sleep...I whispered to him that he had to go Night Night...because tomorrow we were going to a Baseball game!  Next Morning I get him out of the crib...first thing out of his mouth "Lets go Baseball game!!!" No good Morning...just "Get me dressed!" "C'mon Mommy! Lets go Baseball Game!" LOL, this child has the best memory! So, I spend the next 7 hours telling Noah, not yet...We are going to the baseball game tonight....and we have to pick up Daddy first!  I think I must told him that about 40 times. The time couldn't come soon enough!  Ryan was working in Tampa already...as he normally does every weekend at Egmont Key in the summertime...So, we had to pick him up at the marina...Noah was SOOOO excited to see him!  This child lives, breathes and eats up his Dad!  Ryan can walk out the door for just a second and Noah get's sad.  I love the bond that they have together. SO back to the baseball game...LOL...SO, what was I thinking bringing a 2 year old to a baseball game??? He still had an awesome time...but- really didn't want to sit still at ALL (I should have known this...music class seems to come back to mind!)  Thank goodness for other activities at the baseball game...Like coloring pictures and petting sting ray's in the Ray tank Oh, and getting on TV!

Yes, my lil stinker got on TV with Rylee, they are both HAMS!  This came after Rylee winked at the camera man until he gave in. I'm going to say my superstar Son made at least a 10 second TV debut! We decided it was time to leave once Noah ripped off his shoes and socks and was insistant that they were not going back on...So, We made our way to the marina to get on Ryan's work boat and head to Egmont Key for the rest of our Fathers Day weekend to continue.  Let's just say 5 minutes on the boat put Noah right to sleep...Always does.

He has come far from his very first boat ride...on our first trip to Egmont Key last summer.  Lets just say he was NOT a happy camper!

Can you say Ticked off!!! Very first time on a boat...

Thank goodness those days are behind us.  My little boy is a beach bum!  He just LOVES the beach...He can't swim yet, but he gives it a good shot...he hangs on to the noodle and kicks his little feet like a champ.  The goal for this summer is to have him swimming without the noodle. He found a little boat on the beach that someone left behind...and he had more fun digging out a hole in the sand and watching the water come fill it up and "float his boat."  What made Noah MOST excited about the whole weekend??? Everytime Daddy would drive by on the "bad boy"- He can hear that sucker coming from a mile a way...and says "Whats that noises Mommy?" Then, he realizes its Daddy and he just starts screaming with excitement...Its so cute to see his face light up...Proof of the bond between the two of them.

"Happy Fadders Day!"

Where did Daddy go?

Silly Daddy!  Silly Noah!

Boat ride off the island.  Not suprised...asleep again!  Something about the boat rocking & noises that just soothes him...

Music Class...Take Two!

I do have an amazing job that is very flexible...But-unfortunatly, I just couldn't swing going music class yesterday...But-that was ok...because Aunt Jenni took Noah.  Yes, I was sad that I had to miss it...But-what's the next best thing to Mommy and Daddy? Aunti Jenni of course! I told Aunt Jenni ahead of time that I bet he will act like an angel because I wasnt there. Is it just me? But am I the only one whose child acts crazy only when I'm around!!! I walk out of the room and he is an ANGEL!  So, anyway, the award for the most improved goes to: Noah!  Strait from the teachers mouth! LOL.  He still did run around a little bit...But- he actually listened and followed along with the teacher this time. Who would have thunk it?
